I like the use of the word pheromone in a haiku. But even apart from that, its a lovely piece which I will quote.

I wondered about that word. But as I thought about where I was going, I realized the poem read carefully would generate ambiguities for the word that work with the themes I was attempting. Still wonder about it though.
Also, as I was reviewing your comment I inadvertently pressed ‘spam’ instead of ‘approve.’ So unfortunately the comment no longer appears in the feed.
