DeeDee of the golden hair
just wasn’t there
and she was well matched
to Jim who’s head, well thatched,
also held what wasn’t there.
Posted in response to the Ragtag Community Daily prompt: vacant. Apologies to the many “of golden hair” and “well thatched” heads who seek and who manage to fill the glory of their minds. Thanks to all the Ragtag Community, these fine fellow and fellowesses, who provide us jumping off places for nonsenses and other adventures. Also apologies to all those good folk with names like JIM and DeeDee. “Jim” a name I garnered from Hemingway’s story “Up in Michigan” and DeeDee was an older girl in high school who always made life miserable for her sister, a classmate of mine.
