To and Fro

It’s Sunday. They to Church for no more purpose than to go. They return because returning is home. They believe because it is written. They hope because they pray. They pray because they are lost. They drink the blood of God because it is in a cup.

How wonderfully aimless is wandering to and fro, when to is not a destination, where fro is where you began.

Still, it is done.

Still, it is done.

  1. I go because I believe. I believe because my faith lifts and sustains me. I love and support and am supported by my faith family. I pray because I know God is, God hears, God answers. I believe in a God who still heals, forgives, liberated, refreshes, punishes, and unconditionally loves. I try to live a loving life, to “walk the talk.” But, I often fail. I need the “cup of forgiveness” and the “bread of life” as a reminder of God at work in me… a work in progress. As John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” I am grateful for the words of encouragement that fuel my soul. I pray for you, too, each day, Lee. God bless you!
